Cool series Gwen. That's the bird that looks like our Great Blue Heron but lacks the brown on the thighs and neck. Beautiful. I love the “launch” shot too. Funny, I saw a Great Blue Heron atop a high power transmission line last year. I think they are about 100 feet tall. I had never seen one up that high before either.

Nice shots, Gwen. It seems strange to see a heron on a rooftop. He belongs at the water's edge, scanning intently. Maybe he has an identity crisis?
