We leave Sirheni Bush Camp at the crack of dawn. We’re off to Bateleur Bush Camp, but taking the long way – via Letaba Rest Camp – because we need the ATM machine there. Lake Panic Bird Hide is a lovely lazy way to watch wildlife in Kruger National Park. You’ll get great views of hippos and crocs, bushbuck often visit and some people have been lucky enough to see leopard from the hide. Just sit back, relax and watch the herons, jacanas, thick-knees, kingfishers, ducks, cormorants, weaver [...] This is a male Saddle-billed Stork (Ephippiorhynchus senegalensis). It has dark brown eyes. A female has yellow eyes. Saddle-billed storks are huge. They can reach a height of 150 cm and have a wingspan of a 270 cm.
